Boyd is a privately owned campground, situated in the mile marker, Key West city. For the camper who wants to live near to Key West, this campground is difficult to beat. There are several amenities that are not only restricted to ocean sites equipped with full hookups including cable, heated swimming pool, lounging beach, 24-hour security, free wireless internet, a boat ramp and pier, shops, city bus service, and more. Boyd is a great campground and is well manicured.

As we all know Fantasy Fest is a great attraction and attracts tens of thousands of people. However, we found that it is quite easy and very pleasant to ride bikes around Key West for everything we wanted to see during the day. If one would look at a map of Key West you will see it is very easy to navigate around the city. 

When leaving the campsite takes about an hour to ride a bike downtown Duval Street. The main road around the outskirts of the island has a wide sidewalk that is very good for cycling. Through Smathers Beach, yes this is a beach that advertises the travel channel as one of the top ten beaches in the country, park your bike and spend time at this famous beach.
